Carine shares the story of one of her patients: He's a teenage patient suffering from patella subluxation who had to stop his sporting activity, karate. After various stages of rehabilitation, I decided to put him on Virtualis virtual reality because, although he was very willing and eager to do the exercises, I felt he was concentrating a little too much on the injured knee, and was no doubt apprehensive about the rotational constraints. I put a tracker above the healthy knee and one on the healthy ankle. And he went wild with the ball reflex! It's an exercise he really appreciates for its cardio activity, and for the sensations he rediscovers in connection with karate. Carine adds: "It's a therapeutic tool that reinvigorates patient care and enables us to work with patients in a global or targeted way.
