The benefits of Motion VR for our practice is that now our patients can be completely “transported” into the virtual environment vs a virtual sensation while standing on a static surface. It’s like the difference between watching a single dimensional movie vs a 4 D experience. It’s much more of a “real” experience.
As a clinician it allows us to assess patients in a more “realistic” setting, exposing the patient to challenges that we could not recreate ourselves. In therapy, especially balance and vestibular rehab, we were always striving to simulate as close to a real environment as we could. Now we can with the MotionVR. Our patients are loving our new system and are getting challenged in a much advanced technology, which means greater and quicker recovery periods.
