December 20, 2022 12:30 PM

Virtual Reality, VR, according to Virtualis, developed by Health Professionals allows a quantified, precise and diversified management of an ankle. You see many patients with ankle pathologies: sprains, ligamentoplasty, instability... which require a complete management for a good recovery allowing the return to the practice of a sport or simply the resumption of the activities of daily life. The variety of assessments and re-education exercises, connected or not to posturography and re-education platforms (dynamic or static), the objectives to be reached by the patient, the playful side and the better management of Kinesiophobia make patients more active and more motivated in their re-education. The distribution of supports, the stability in unipodal support, the limits of stability... are first the object of a precise assessment. Various exercises will then follow with precise and real time modification of the parameters: proprioception, reinforcement of unipodal stability, muscular reinforcement, recovery of articular amplitudes, motor coordination... Register for a 30-minute webinar to understand how VR will allow you to optimize the management of your patients suffering from ankle pathologies!

Why is Virtual Reality, VR, developed by Health Professionals, becoming a real asset in the management of athletes ? Immersive VR according to Virtualis makes it possible to quantify the athlete's rehabilitation and optimize his or her recovery for a return to practice. The variety of assessments and rehabilitation exercises, the objectives to be reached by the patient, the playful side and the better management of kinesiophobia make patients more active and more motivated in their rehabilitation. Whatever the sport and whether the patient is a professional or a "recreational athlete", the precise and real-time modification of the VR parameters will allow the patient to work on proprioception, unipodal stability, muscle strengthening, recovery of joint amplitudes, motor coordination, etc. Register for a 30-minute webinar to understand how VR will allow you to optimize the management of your sports patients (and not only!).

Optimize the management of retractile capsulitis and kinesiophobia with Therapeutic Virtual Reality - Everything you need to know in just 30 minutes!

October 18, 2022 12:30 PM

Do you regularly see patients with Retractile Capsulitis or "Frozen Shoulder"? The Kinesiophobia that frequently results from this makes the management of these patients more complex. And the type of exercises that we can propose today can be limited, quite repetitive and difficult to quantify. Today, Virtual Reality (VR), a therapeutic tool developed by health professionals according to Virtualis, is precisely a complementary tool that allows us to respond to all these problems. With VR, you will be able to propose an adapted rehabilitation, varied exercises and to bring the quantification of the results of all the sessions. The fully adjustable parameters ensure that the patient's session is in perfect harmony with the patient's means at the moment "T" and the therapeutic objectives. As testified by Benoit Faucher, physiotherapist, equipped with Virtualis solutions "I have a patient (...) who found herself with retractile capsulitis ... and gradually (Editor's note: using Virtualis VR) we gained mobility, we gained on pain, we went further and further, and on this patient in 1 month, we recovered what we had lost". Register for a 30-minute webinar to understand how this complementary care offering will optimize your practice in the management of Retractile Capsulitis (and not only!), winner of the Rééduca Innov Competition in 2021, 2018 and 2016.

Progressive and Quantified Upper Extremity Rehabilitation with Therapeutic Virtual Reality - 60 min to understand how

22 July, 2022 12:30

Did you know that Virtual Reality, VR, could have a therapeutic objective and be used for the treatment of the Upper Limbs in physiotherapy, such as the shoulder for example? In the case of rehabilitation following shoulder surgery, the HAS recommendations vary according to the progress of the treatment, but we find recurrently: passive and active evaluation of joint amplitudes, free active muscle rehabilitation against gravity without associated mechanical resistance, global work and bimanual functional requests. VR therapy according to Virtualis is precisely a complementary tool that allows us to respond to all these problems thanks to the technology embedded in the equipment and which also offers adapted and quantified rehabilitation. With VR, you will be able to offer adapted rehabilitation and quantify the results of all the sessions without weighing down your work since a Patient Management interface takes care of the systematic recording of data and the export of assessments. The fully adjustable parameters ensure that the patient's session is perfectly in line with the patient's means at the time and the therapeutic objectives. Knowing that the latter can change during a session according to the fatigue or the evolution of a pain, you will be able to adapt the session in real time without having to cut off the immersion in VR. You can also choose to work only on shoulder amplitudes, precision of movement, bimanual coordination, speed of movement in space, reaction time, endurance... or several of these parameters simultaneously. In the justification of the treatment and the follow-up of the sessions, you will be able to answer the following questions in a simple and quantified way: is the movement more ample, more precise? Does the patient gain in strength, endurance, speed, precision? Register for a 60-minute webinar to understand how this complementary care offer will optimise your practice in the management of upper limbs (and not only!), winner of the Rééduca Innov Competition in 2021, 2018 and 2016.

24 May, 2022 12:30

Pain is the primary cause of consultation for spinal disorders. And we all know the expression: "the right treatment is movement", hence the importance of getting the patient back into movement. Virtualis is a company founded by a physiotherapist and which has been developing Virtual Reality (VR) assessments and rehabilitation exercises since 2015, using an internal team of physiotherapists and occupational therapists. Therapeutic VR has become a complementary care offer, particularly for the treatment of the spine in the 3 levels: Evaluation of amplitudes and pain thresholds / Recording of quantitative parameters of amplitude and speed of movement / Comparison of data using graphic exports or raw data / Exercises for stabilising the spine or working on mobility that can be segmented or integrated into functional gestures / Various environments, Environments conducive to diverting the patient's attention (to combat kinesiophobia) / Progressive and quantified repetition of movements (amplitude and speed) / Precise and real-time adjustment of work criteria (speed, amplitude, etc.).). Boost and quantify your Rehabilitation with the VR Therapeutic designed by Health Professionals, a real therapeutic innovation recognized, winner of the Rééduca Innov Competition in 2021, 2018 and 2016. Register to the webinar on May 24th from 12:30 to 1:30 pm to understand why this complementary care offer will optimize your practice in the management of a painful spine (and not only), directed by Franck Assaban, MKDE, Founder and President of Virtualis. "Another advantage is that we can adapt the exercises and their difficulty in real time to the problems and abilities of each individual," says Noémie Muller, an occupational therapist at Freyming-Merlebach Hospital, who is equipped with Virtualis' Virtual Reality (VR) solutions. "This allows us to vary the way we treat patients, to work differently, with innovative tools. Just as in physiotherapy, VR opens up complementary perspectives for occupational therapists in rehabilitation: balance, locomotor apparatus, pain, upper/inf limbs, spine, neurology, cognition... can be worked on and facilitate the return to the activities of daily life of patients. Virtualis, a company founded by a physiotherapist in 2015, relies on an internal team of physiotherapists and occupational therapists to develop multidisciplinary tools for the care teams of more than 700 SSR Centres, CRFs and practices. Register for a 60 min webinar to understand how this complementary care offer has become an asset also in Occupational Therapy which will be presented by Franz Gayet, Occupational Therapist within Virtualis.

Discover quantified and active rehabilitation of the lower limbs with Therapeutic Virtual Reality - 60 min to understand how

18 March, 2022 12:30

Virtual Reality (VR), developed by therapists, has become a complementary care offer, particularly for the treatment of lower limbs, which makes it possible to carry out quantified assessments and varied, immersive rehabilitation exercises that can be configured in real time. And this technological innovation is attracting more and more interest from scientists and research. Take the example of a patient to be managed following ACL reconstruction: Gokeler et al (2016) explain that patients who had the green light to return to sport following ACL reconstruction had altered movement patterns in the operated knee, resulting in a risk of relapse or injury to the contralateral limb. Rehabilitation with VR improved these patterns, approximating those of healthy subjects. Immersive VR can improve the assessment of return to sport criteria and motor learning rehabilitation to decrease the risk of relapse in post ACL reconstruction patients [1]. The Virtualis VR solutions will enable: Active and quantified proprioception work, support recovery and quantification, strengthening, and joint stability work. 26 November, 2021 12:30

Falls among people aged 65 and over living at home or in health care institutions are the cause of significant morbidity and mortality, and thus represent a major public health problem. Approximately 28-35% of people aged 65 and over fall each year, and this proportion rises to 32-42% among those aged 70 and over (Santé Publique France figures 03.03.2017). In the event of walking and/or balance problems, the French National Authority for Health (HAS) recommends prescribing physiotherapy sessions including: static and dynamic postural balance work and strengthening the strength and muscle power of the lower limbs. According to the HAS, these practices must be regular with low to moderate intensity exercises and followed by self-education exercises, between and after the sessions, to prolong the gains in daily life. The Virtual Therapeutic Reality developed by Virtualis becomes a real asset for the management of these patients with Rehabilitation Assessments and exercises to prevent falls and work on the factors that trigger them (musculoskeletal disorders, balance, neurological, physical activity...). The work is done in a progressive manner with real-time adjustment according to the conditions of each patient. This new approach is highly acceptable and older patients are even more motivated by the fun and varied aspect. The result is quick and lasting results. Register for a 60-minute webinar to understand why this complementary care offer will optimize your practice for your elderly patients (and not only) conducted by Franck Assaban, MKDE, Founder and President of Virtualis.
